This year marks the 16th anniversary of the SideTracked Series since the first cache was placed at Evesham by bikermel76 in 2007 - The First Sidetracked Cache
Traditionally, we usually hold a one-day anniversary on the 10th August, with events and profile badges being made available to anyone who attended an event or finds a SideTracked cache on this date. Like last year, we're holding a special week long celebration, kicking off on Sunday 6 August and will run through to Saturday 12 August 2023.
To celebrate Sidetracked Week, I've decided to hold 3 short events along the Portsmouth Direct Train Line. These events will run consecutively and I shall be travelling by train to each one: -
Guildford Event (GCABDN2) 12:30 to 13:15
Travel - From Guildford 13:25 to Haslemere - Arrival 13:49
Haslemere Event (GCABDNB) 14:00 to 14:45
Travel - From Haslemere 14:56 to Petersfield - Arrival 15:12
Petersfield Event (GCABDNH) 15:30 to 16:00
So why not come along and join me on this celebration of this fine series - attend just 1 or all 3 and qualify for challenges, such as the Social Butterfly Challenge Cache
If you’re in the area, come and say hi as we have many caches in Guildford area - but not a Sidetracked Cache unfortunately!
This event will take place between 12:30 and 13:15, outside the front of the station building and there are places around to grab some food / drink if you want to have lunch.
I have added a suggested car park but there are others around town. There is a station car park but I have no idea how full it will be on the day and it's a bit pricey!
