In September of 1995, the Greenville Lions Club had a vision to purchase 58 acres of land that would transform this land into a wonderful park for all to enjoy. In May of 1996, the land was purchased by the Lions Club and great improvements have been made to the property ever since. The Lions Club hosts the Catfish Extravaganza each year in July on the property. This is a two day event which includes catfish races, fireworks and nationally recognized musicians brings thousands of people to the park. Funds raised from this large event help to make awesome improvements to the property every year.
Lions Park has become a gem of a park in the greater fox valley area. With areas for people of all ages to enjoy, the park's popularity is hard to match. Large event venues, athletic courts and fields, biking and walking paths and even an archery range provide hours of fun and activity for hundreds of people weekly. Many evenings during the week it can become difficult to find a parking spot along the winding road through the park.
In order to get the coordinates to the container's location, you will need to visit much of the park area to get numbers to put in place for the coordinates. As previously stated, this park is a busy place, please use stealth when gaining access to the container and replace it as you found it. Enjoy Lions Park!
