Geocache Description:

The ABCs of geocaching is a series of caches exploring some of the lingo that gets used in the geocaching world.

While volunteer is not exactly a geocaching term the game relies on volunteers at every level.  You first have to voluntarily decide that you want to hide a cache, maintain a cache, adopt a cache, host an event or release a trackable.  Without people willing to be cache owners the game would not be available for all to enjoy. It takes time to plan, hide and do up a cache page.

Once you decide to hide a cache then a community volunteer called a reviewer has to look at the cache page submitted to make sure that it is in an acceptable place, that the cache page has the necessary information and that it complies with the geocaching rules.  If there is something amiss then the cache won't get published until issues are taken care of.

Events take volunteers willing to set a date, plan the event and make it fun for those that attend.  I am not a super social cacher but I love to see all the events that pop up that gets the community together to talk about all things geocaching.

I have enjoyed caching since 2007.  I love to contribute to the game by placing caches and I love to be able to wander around to find caches.  My favorite place to cache is anywhere there is a cache.  I appreciate the cache owners that take their time, energy, money and creativeness to add to my enjoyment and I hope that my contribution would encourage others to continue to hide caches or start hiding caches for all to enjoy.

This is a daylight only cache. . NO NIGHT CACHING!  Park on the cemetery driveway and walk to GZ.  Don't be tempted to park on the road as this is a busy intersection.
