An quick stop on the N56 alonside the Clady River which is periodically diverted to run the local hydroelectric station built in the 1950s and still running today.
There is a superb view of Errigal while you take a breather.
If you wish to go down to the river there is a little used short path down the steps at the gap in the wall - you will even find a lifering hidden in the trees!
You are in a safe lay-by so do not step into the road.
