Michael O'Brien, stay away! Mark Roberts, don't come near! Jacqui Salmon, you aren't welcome here!
Who are these people, you may ask? Why, they are all famous (infamous?) STREAKERS, folks who dared bare it all in the name of protest or 5 minutes of fame (infamy?). You thought that you could gain some noteriety by streaking in geocaching, but unless you are doing it the way these people have, eh! Not that impressive to me.
"Why, QueenBee! It seems that you are disparaging geocaching streakers, and yet you are a "streaker" yourself? What gives?"
I'll tell ya!
Anyone who knows me knows that I LOVE to geocache. Some have described my habits in that regard as "insatiable" and even somewhat nutsy. It is true; when I got the geocaching bug, I fell hard. And due to my appetite for it, I ate up as much as I could, as fast as I could, clearing out most of the easiest geocaches within my radius and then, over time, slowly cleaning up the "crumbs". So last summer, when Blurryface suggested that we start a streak, I am sure I laughed in disbelief. How did he expect me to fulfill a year-long streak when I would have to travel much further afield to get geocaches? Well, it took planning, it took patience, it took temperance (on my part), and it took travel. I was also VERY thankful any time a fellow geocacher hid something new closer to home. I certainly could NOT have done it without the help and support of BlurryFace himself. I love that guy!
So concludes my 366 days of finding at least one cache. Every. Single. Day. I will not continue this streak. I will never do this again. Streaking makes geocaching a chore and takes some of the fun out of it. Now I am FREE!
Please join me in celebrating this auspicious achievement that both Blurryface and I have completed. Give Blurryface a pat on the back for cheering me on, but poke him in the ribs for starting me on this journey to begin with.
P.S. Clothes ARE required!
