The Pond is my favorite place along this stretch, it has numerious varieties of birds, amphibians and reptiles. I often come here with a picnic blanket, food and a book and watch the world go by. This is the perfect place to watch the fisherman and various watercraft that make there way up and down Cockle Creek. If you are lucky there are the odd remote control boats hooning around. It is also near the Speerspoint Dog Exercise Area which is very popular, especially with my GeoHound.
The cache is located on the the other side of the Pond, you cannot access it from the Dog Exercise Area side unless you wish to get muddy and wet. Stealth is required here as you are visible from the road and the exercise area.
Cache is only big enough for the log, and you will need to bring your own writing implement
