La Colline de Pelleivro

En aval du village de Nax, une colline ferme le cirque du lieudit le Croux. Monter sur la Colline de Pelleivro à Nax c’est apercevoir le village de Nax sous un angle jamais vu, ou rarement représenté. De la Colline de Pelleivro, on découvre toute l’étendue de l’agglomération où se mêlent habitations, granges-écuries, raccards, greniers. Le visiteur attentif constatera que les habitations ont le faîte généralement orienté vers l’aval, selon un mode traditionnel typique aux habitations valaisannes. Les autres bâtiments, soit les ruraux, s’orientent en fonction de la place disponible et des besoins de la vie quotidienne.

La Colline de Pelleivro est un très beau point de vue qui mérite d’être mieux connu.  

Pelleivro Hill

Downstream from the village a hill closes the cirque of the place le Croux. To climb up there is to see the village from an angle never seen before, or rarely represented. From here we can discover the whole area of the town where dwellings, barn-stables, raccards and attics are mixed together. The attentive visitor will notice that the dwellings have the ridge generally oriented downstream, according to a traditional method typical of Valais dwellings. The other buildings, the rural ones, are oriented according to the available space and the needs of daily life.

A very beautiful viewpoint that deserves to be better known.
