Geocache Description:

###########################################################################

Number 1764 in a series of caches where a red telephone box is in proximity to a post box.
The only rules are that they have to be able to be photographed together, be not more than 100’ apart and the phone boxes have to be red.

###########################################################################

This is a short offset multi cache. The posted coordinates bring you to this Fine Pair on Green Lanes in the Finsbury Park area (image taken from Google Maps).

  • The telephone kiosk is of the K2 type, originally designed in 1927 by Giles Gilbert Scott. It received grade II listed status in Sept 1987.
  • The postbox is a Type B pillar from the reign of George V.

To get the final coordinates for the cache, examine the post box and collect the following values:

  1. The last collection time Monday to Friday = A.B0am
  2. The postbox number = XC CDX
  3. The latest collection in the area is made at E.30pm.

The cache can then be found at:

N 51° 33.AD(C+1)' W 000° 05.(E-1)BD'
