Before any of us in the Grey Nomad years contemplates setting off on a long Geocaching journey from home, we always check in at our Medical Centre to make sure our Meds are up to date and will be in full supply.
So I booked an appointment with my GP - Dr. Alan, I call him. On his door, it says Dr A S Piringle.
He checked my current medication list, and pointing to the screen, he said "Top one?" I looked at the screen and said "No, the end one is better."
"What about your heart medication?" he asked. "Is your Cardiologist still Dr Opal?" "Ex", I added. He retired, so it's Dr Cutter now."
I could see the smile growing on his face when he realized Dr. Cutter was a Surgeon.
"Bit like having Dr Tooth as your Dentist" I quickly offered.
"Yes", was the wry smile response I received. "Anything else? he asked. I said "No", then after wishing each other a Merry Christmas, I checked my phone for the three e-scripts and then made my way to the front counter to settle the account. "Nothing to pay today, you are fully covered by Medibank."
