I thought it was high time that I got round to organising an event that combines two of my greatest passions in life - Geocaching and Real Ale. Given this, there was only one place that I could choose for the inaugural "BBOx Breweries" event and that is Loddon Brewery (seeing as I am a lifetime member!). So the details of the event are:
When: Saturday 9th September - 12:30 - 14:30 (or until the last person leaves)
Where: Loddon Brewery - Tap Yard , Farm Shop and Kitchen, Dunsden Green Farm/Church La, Reading RG4 9QD
What: Talking all things caching, eating, drinking and being merry! Exchanging and moving of trackables. All welcome from newbies to the experienced cachers. Children and dogs are also welcome at the brewery. In addition to the to-be-expected selection of ales, the tapyard also serves ciders, spirits, soft drinks, tea and coffee. Hot and cold food (including cakes!) are also available.
Why: Because it is fun with all the friendly cachers in the area!
Transport information:
There is plenty of parking available at the brewery and there are also the following public transport options (see waypoints):
0.2 miles from the brewery - Arriva Buses number 800 bus (Reading to High Wycombe) - very infrequent service though - Number 800 bus timetable
0.6 miles from the brewery - Reading Buses number 23 bus (Reading to Caversham Park) - more regular service - Number 23 bus timetable
