This cache immortalises the geocacher karicka!! It is located along Westbrook Road in the wide roadside verge.
In the early days, karicka joined the mighty geocaching game in April 2005, with the "fun" commencing with his find of Anundshög on 15/04/2005. Since then, he has been passionately geocaching, having found a significant 30,000+ geocaches as of this geocache's publish. karicka is a Swede who lived and worked in Townsville for a few years, and.many of his geocaches are still around the region, available to be found. He then moved to the bright lights of Brisvegas, and has continued to contribute to the local geocaching scene with technical tree climbs and outlandish duck puzzles. karicka is always positive and happy to have a chat.
Although karicka has had many accomplishments, he has ticked off the Jasmer grid, and found Brazil's Project APE geocache, Mission 4: Southern Bowl on 20/02/2016. He was Queensland's top D-T looper for several years, and currently has 38 D-T loops to his name. He has also geocached in an impressive 52 countries (out of 250)! He is #1 finder for virtual caches and EarthCaches in Queensland. On that note, he is a lover of EarthCaches having found 500+ in his time.
His 150 hides have also contributed 700+ Favourite Points, and are a targeted list amongst visiting Geocachers. A few that come to mind are:
- a snorkelling multi-cache at Townsville Strand rockpools;
- abseils beneath Townsville's Strand Pier and Castle Rock; and
- several technical tree climbs in Brisbane, Qld.
He has also been a frequent visitor to Adelaide / South Australia with business, but has also found the time to find a few local geocaches. In fact, SAGEO_5 is his top owner finds!
