Geocache Description:

"Where Eagles Dare" has been one of my favorite movies for a long time. It is a 1968 British-American war film starring Richard Burton, Clint Eastwood and Mary Ure and it's based on a 1967 novel of the same name by Alistair McLean. It follows a joint British-American Special Operations team of paratroopers raiding a castle. It was shot on location in Austria and Bavaria. I saw this movie as a kid when it first came out and I have enjoyed watching it many time since then. If you haven't seen the movie, I hope you'll check it out.

This cache is being placed in association with the NoVA Chapter of the Military Association of GeoCachers (MAGC) event held nearby each month.  If you haven't found the others in the series, they are all fairly close by, so I hope you have time to check them out.

This is a pretty simple cache that blends into the surroundings and it should be a quick find for all geocachers. Parking is very close to GZ. You'll be walking a short distance up a slope that will likely be slippery after it rains. Be careful. You will be visible from the nearby parking area and public path and strangers are likely to be in the area, so stealth will be required. It is available 24/7.

YOU MUST SIGN THE LOG IN ORDER TO CLAIM IT AS "FOUND".

Tools are not needed to access the cache. Please carefully replace it exactly as you found it.

You will need your own writing instrument. There is no room for SWAG or trackables.
