Geocache Description:


The term for raising anchors is "anchors aweigh". Aweigh comes from the Old English and Dutch wegan, which means “to weigh” or “to lift.” In the nautical sense, anchors aweigh means “anchors lifted.” When thinking of a name for this cache, we originally spelled it "anchors away", which seems to be a common mistake! 

At posted coordinates you will find a bison tube with the final coordinates and a hint.

Please leave the stamp in the final, as it is not a trade item. BYO ink, as leaving ink in the cache usually gets messy!

We hid this cache without a TOTT, but have added the "Special Tool Required" attribute as we think many finders will end up utilizing a TOTT for Stage 1.
