Geocache Description:

You are looking for a piece of robgso history: GC59B93, "When I'm 64".  It's that very container.  I even included the swag and original log book along with a fresh, new log book.  This is as authentic as you can make a robgso cache.

Why do I have the cache?  Mildly interesting story.  robgso hid "When I'm 64" in August 2014.  In February 2019, he went out to do some mantainance and couldn't find his own cache.  He archived it and reused the spot, placing GC838GW, " Bentley Sez "Don't Blame Me!" ".  I visited the cache with fishdownthestair just after it had been published.  Climbing around the downed trees, I found a cache and was confused when I saw all the names and dates on the log--including mine from September 2014.  I wondered if robgso had just relisted the same cache, so gave him a call.  That was when I learned he couldn't find his cache and had placed another in its place.  We continued looking and found the new cache.  I took the old one with me to dry it out and give to him at a later date.  That never happened, now cannot.

So, I present to you this authentic piece of robgso history, complete with original log book and swag for you to appreciate and reminisce about robgso.  I placed it in an area I believe he would favor in a way consistent with his hide methodology.  You could either say this cache was what robgso left behind or what he couldn't find.

On the morning of June 13, 2023, robgso left us all behind.  So when you find this piece of his own history he left behind with us, perhaps you will be moved to recall a story or anecdote of your time with robgso or of searching for one of his caches.  May we all aim to leave as positive an impact upon our community as did robgso.  He is and will be missed.

As usual, remember that you are in the woods. Be aware of No Shoulders Joe and his relatives, bugs that want to suck your blood, and plants that will make you bleed and itch. Typical stuff that you will encounter when you venture into the woods in the South.

I hope you enjoy this latest offering.

 Happy Hunting!
