Pitulicea fluierătoare (Phylloscopus trochilus), numită și pitulice verde fluierătoare, pitulice verde, este o pasăre mică, migratoare, predominant insectivoră, din familia filoscopide. Este o pasăre de vară comună și larg răspândită în Eurasia, din Insulele Britanice și nordul Scandinaviei spre est prin Rusia până în estul Siberiei, iar la sud până în sudul Franței, nordul Italiei, nordul fostei Iugoslavii, nordul României, Republica Moldova, nordul Ucrainei. Iernează în Africa subsahariană. Cuibărește în pădurile de foioase și mixte în care obișnuit predomină mesteacănul, dar și în desișurile de mesteacăn și salcia și tufărișurile din tundra arctică; de asemenea, în landele din zonele temperate, în zonele umede cu ariniș și sălciș, în grădini mari neîngrijite, livezi, garduri vii, în taluzurile căilor ferate și în pășuni cu tufe de graminee. În zonele montane, cuibărește pe pantele acoperite cu tufărișuri până la 1000 m.

The willow warbler (Phylloscopus trochilus) is a very common and widespread leaf warbler which breeds throughout northern and temperate Europe and the Palearctic, from Ireland east to the Anadyr River basin in eastern Siberia. It is strongly migratory, with almost all of the population wintering in sub-Saharan Africa. It is a bird of open woodlands with trees and ground cover for nesting, including most importantly birch, alder, and willow habitats. The nest is usually built in close contact with the ground, often in low vegetation. Like most Old World warblers (Sylviidae), this small passerine is insectivorous. In northern Europe, it is one of the first warblers to return in the spring, though later than the closely related chiffchaff.

Meglehetősen hasonlít a csilpcsalpfüzikére, de tollazata sárgásabb zöld, lába pedig nem fekete, hanem világos színű. Télen Afrika középső, valamint déli részére vonul. Dél-Európa kivételével az egész kontinensen költ, Ázsiában pedig Szibériáig húzódik elterjedési területe. Kedveli a domb- és hegyvidéki elegyes erdőket, fenyveseket, de árterekben is megtelepedhet. Évente egyszer költ, annak meghiúsulásakor azonban pótköltésbe kezd. Fészke általában a talajhoz közel, de mindig alacsonyan helyezkedik el. A gömb alakú, szinte teljesen zárt fészket a tojó egyedül építi fűszálakból, melyet tollal, szőrrel bélel. A fészekalj 4-8 tojásból áll, melyeket kizárólag a tojó üli. A fiókáknak mindkét szülő hordja a táplálékot.
