Port Isabel is a great little town and the gateway to South Padre Island. It has a beautiful lighthouse and many great restaurants and bars. On the first Sunday of each month, Beulah Lee Park hosts the Port Isabel Antique & Flea Market from 9 AM to 4 PM. It is a great family event and features a wide variety of local creations, collectables, and plants. Beulah Lee Park is also the location for the Port Isabel Public Library and the Port Isabel Community Center. Twice a year, Port Isabel hosts the Causeway Run & Fitness Walk. During this event, you get to run or walk across the Queen Isabella Causeway to South Padre Island. Port Isabel is a nice place to explore.
