“Order, order!”
This phrase is widely recognised as the call to order, bellowed by the Speaker of Parliament. While this very phrase is perhaps more (famously) heard in parliaments like the United Kingdom’s, due to the chaos that often ensues, Singapore still uses this phrase to signal the start and end of parliamentary sittings, which are distinctly more calm and formalised. Perhaps a reflection of it as a state as well.
About Parliament House
Located right smack in Singapore’s civic district, Singapore’s parliament house is a distinct structure representing stateliness and authority. Its prism-shaped top, designed by former President Ong Teng Cheong, represents a modernist take on the traditional dome.
Fun fact: You can attend Parliament sessions in person! Proceedings of Parliament are indeed open to the public, except for certain occasions, such as the Opening of Parliament. I prefer just watching it on live stream though (which are at times how hot mic incidents were unearthed…)
About the cache
While the cache can’t be located within Parliament House for obvious reasons, it's located opposite it - at High Street Centre.
The cache is located at an L-shaped corner of the exterior facade of the building, near the louvers. You do not have to go inside the building to find the cache. IMPORTANT: Please cover the cache with the rock after you have placed it back.
To all of you, your signature is being highly sought after! The people of Geocachland are waiting and counting on you to make history and put this declaration into effect. This currently top secret document cannot be made public and put into legislation unless you sign off on it, so what are you waiting for? Open that briefcase, take out its contents in a special folder and sign off on that declaration!
