Street Art: Braća Vragec

Mural posvećen “Smogovcima” – braći Vragec, likovima iz romana književnika Hrvoja Hitreca, koji je bio i scenarist istoimene serije, predstavilo je Hrvatsko društvo likovnih umjetnika (HDLU) u suradnji sa Zajednicom nakladnika i knjižara Hrvatske gospodarske komore (HGK) i drugim organizatorima Noći knjige.
Mural je predstavljen u prisutnosti autorice murala Mije Matijević, autora romana i scenarista serije Hrvoja Hitreca, ravnateljice III. gimnazije Darke Sudarević, Tomislava Buntaka, predsjednika HDLU i dekana Akademije likovnih umjetnosti Sveučilišta u Zagrebu, članova Organizacijskog odbora Noći knjige te Slavka Kozine, predsjednika Zajednice nakladnika i knjižara HGK.
Tako su kultni “Smogovci” u povodu jubilarne Noći knjige kojoj je moto “Ljekovita moć knjige” u svojoj Peščenici dobili i mural.
Kako je istaknuto, mural je izveden s idejom povezivanja likovne umjetnosti s knjigom, u ovom slučaju s knjigom i serijalom “Smogovci”, a prikazuje poznatu scenu i obitelj Vragec.
Izvedba ovoga murala najavljuje buduću suradnju i na izvedbi novih murala inspiriranih književnim djelima tijekom ove godine proglašene Godinom čitanja.
Naime, oslikavanjem murala organizatori Noći knjige žele potaknuti i druge hrvatske gradove da u Godini čitanja oslikaju gradska pročelja motivima posvećenima knjizi i čitanju, a želja im je i potaknuti interdisciplinarnu suradnju u kulturi, uključiti lokalnu zajednicu te podignuti svijest o identitetu preko književnosti i likovne, a u ovom slučaju, i filmske umjetnosti.
“Smogovci” su dječja humoristično-dramska TV serija koja se osvrće na život obitelji Vragec u Naselku, dijelu zagrebačke gradske četvrti Peščenice. Prvi put emitirana je na TV postaji RTV Zagreb 1982. a njezino veliko finale bilo je 1997. Serija je stvorena po istoimenom romanu Hrvoja Hitreca koji je i autor scenarija za seriju.
Pripovijest je to o mladim članovima hrvatske obitelji Vragec koji žive u Naselku, neuređenom naselju u zagrebačkoj četvrti Peščenici. Za šestoricu braće život nije bio lak, odrasli su bez očeve prisutnosti, a majka Melita morala je nekako prehraniti svoju obitelj te je prihvatila posao u dalekoj Njemačkoj.

A mural dedicated to the "Smogovci" - the Vragec brothers, characters from the novel by the writer Hrvoj Hitrec, who was also the screenwriter of the series of the same name, was presented by the Croatian Society of Fine Artists (HDLU) in cooperation with the Association of Publishers and Booksellers of the Croatian Chamber of Commerce (HGK) and other organizers of the Night books.
The mural was presented in the presence of the author of the mural Mija Matijević, author of the novel and screenwriter of the series Hrvoje Hitrec, director of III. Darka Sudarević high school, Tomislav Buntak, president of HDLU and dean of the Academy of Fine Arts of the University of Zagreb, members of the Organizing Committee of Book Night and Slavko Kozina, president of the Association of Publishers and Booksellers of HGK.
Thus, the cult "Smogovci" got a mural in their Peščenica on the occasion of the jubilee Night of the Book, whose motto is "The healing power of the book".
As it was pointed out, the mural was executed with the idea of connecting fine art with a book, in this case with the book and the series "Smogovci", and depicts a famous scene and the Vragec family.
The performance of this mural announces future cooperation on the performance of new murals inspired by literary works during this year, declared the Year of Reading.
Namely, by painting murals, the organizers of Book Night want to encourage other Croatian cities to paint their city facades with motifs dedicated to books and reading in the Year of Reading, and they also want to encourage interdisciplinary cooperation in culture, involve the local community and raise awareness of identity through literature and art. and in this case, also film arts.
"Smogovci" is a children's comedy-drama TV series that looks back on the life of the Vragec family in Naselko, part of Zagreb's Peščenica district. It was first broadcast on the TV station RTV Zagreb in 1982, and its grand finale was in 1997. The series was created based on the novel of the same name by Hrvoje Hitrec, who is also the author of the script for the series.
It is a story about young members of the Croatian Vragec family who live in Naselko, an unorganized settlement in the Peščenica district of Zagreb. Life was not easy for the six brothers, they grew up without their father's presence, and their mother, Melita, had to somehow feed her family and accepted a job in distant Germany.
