Sapience Trek: As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements.

Geocache Description:

This is a multi-cache located within the village of Port Byron, NY. At present the NYS Thruway Authority is in the "thinking" stages of turning this area into a historic rest stop. Suggest you visit this before THAT happens and everything is RESTORED! Now you can access the area and see it just as it was left as canal commerce declined.

The listed coordinates will take you to a very old cemetery, which was established when this area was known as Bucksville. There you will find the necessary information to calculate the coordinates to the second site.(SEE SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR SITE #2 COORDINATE CALCULATION after the website list.) Spend a little time at site #2 and peek around.(This area is presently owned by New York State and is publicly accessible.) Here you will find a small container giving you the coordinates to the cache box location. (PLEASE DO NOT TAKE PAPER WITH COORDINATES WRITTEN ON IT.) Look over the fence to one the the things I brought you here to see. (This area is owned by the Thruway Authority and is not publicly accessible.) The cache box is a plastic container. Hope you have a great hunt and a successful find.

***NOTE***You may wish to approach final cache site from the other side of the old canal bed...a little less of a bushwack.

While putting this cache together I did alot of research into the area and found some TERRIFIC web links. Even if you are not interested in seeking this cache, you may find some of these links enjoyable!(I will list them below and give you a brief description.)
