Geocache Description:

The Old Man and the Sea

In a bush near here is where my best friend, travel companion, and partner in crime was dumped one day by a cruel, evil, despicable human. Ernest "Hemi" Hemingway, aka my rescue dog, was found living in a blackberry bush with newspaper scraps and leaves to keep himself warm. CacheMoneyMayra and her sister were able to chase him down and bring him home while I was at work. I took him in and we set off to wherever work lead me. Besides the ocean, pinecones, gouda cheese, and playing tag, one of his favorite things was adventure. He left no stone unturned, no pinecone unchewed, no squirrel alone, and no puddle unsplashed. He experienced the world in his own curious, playful, and peaceful way. Everyday, he created his own adventures and shared them with me. Let this serve as a reminder that your next great adventure may be right there in front of you, longing to be found. Take time to experience your journey, because we never know when it will end.

I dedicate this cache to Hemi, who lived with the true adventurer spirit. I hope that we may all experience the world as he did at least once in our lives.

Rest in Peace Ernest "Hemi" Hemingway.
