Join us on Saturday, August 26th, 2023 at 9:00 am at the west end of Sunridge Park for a better-late-than-never, rain or shine, Coulee Clean-Up for 2023.
This CITO event is supported by, and in support of, the Helen Schuler Nature Centre and the Annual Coulee Clean-Up program. Thank you to Curtis Goodman and the team at the Nature Centre for the help in setting this up. The cleanup kit from the Nature Centre will have gloves and bags but feel free to bring anything else you might find useful including grabbers or specific allergy-free gloves.
You may be asking yourself, "But if this is the Coulee Clean-Up, why are we not in the Coulees?" Well, this park is a very important wetland for the neighbourhood and is included in the Clean-Up program for that reason. To learn more about the Sunridge Wetlands and what makes them and the surrounding neighbourhood unique, feel free to follow the interpretive signs as you walk along the wetland away from the playground and along the south side of the lake. There is an adventure lab available as well for a more "guided" tour that can be done during or after the event is finished.
