Mark your calendars for International Geocaching Day 2023
Ever since the 2011 Geocaching Block Party, geocachers worldwide come together for a day of celebration and smileys on the third Saturday of each August. This holiday is just one of the many quirks that make the global geocaching community so endearing.
A BONUS is that you can earn a virtual souvenir for attending an event or finding a cache on this date.
With permission from the parks department, we'll meet at the shelter on Quinsippi Island from 9:00 - 9:45 am.
This will be just a simple meet and greet near a playground. I'll have some bottled water available and some cache containers to give away. There are plans to add a few new caches to the island.
