This cache has a space theme. Contents include NASA stickers, space pens, astronaut food, space station pins, space shuttle mission patches, etc. There are CDs containing a popular space analysis software (STK), educational CDs produced by various NASA centers, a CD summarizing the first 100 space shuttle flights, and a CD with sample images gathered by the commercial satellite Ikonos. There are several packets of freeze dried astronaut food, a Space Imaging notepad. Lots of other stuff too (I forgot to take a detailed inventory. This is the cache where the travel bug “Rosie’s rocket” starts it’s journey.
There is a camera with the notebook, so please take your picture when you visit. There are now several other caches in the area (Hibernia Hide & Card Cache), so you can make it a 3 for 1 day!
Cache is located in Hibernia county park (check out "Card Cache" for a detailed park description). Suggested parking is located at N 40 01.936, W 75 50.788. The trailhead is nearby at N 40 02.002, W 75 50.947. Cache is located at a section of rock wall very close to two large fallen trees. Hopefully this won’t become too overgrown in the spring, but if you go in November it should be no bushwacking required.
White tail deer populations are managed on Chester County Real Estate consistent with current seasons, bag limits and objectives by the Pennsylvania Game Commission.
