Porumbelul sălbatic și coțofana
Știți de ce porumbeii sălbatici nu știu să facă cuiburi, de ce își construiesc un cuib atât de sărac format din doar câteva ramuri uscate?
O să-ți spun.
Porumbelul sălbatic a rugat-o pe coțofană să-l învețe cum să construiască un cuib, pentru că coțofana este un mare maestru în asta și poate construi un astfel de cuib încât coaja porumbelului să nu-l atingă. Coțofana a acceptat cu bucurie învățătura și, în timp ce construia cuibul, în timp ce punea o crenguță, spunea mereu în felul său:
„Tot așa, chiar așa!” Doar așa, chiar așa!
Porumbelul sălbatic răspundea mereu:
„Știu, știu, știu!”
Coțofana a stat în liniște o vreme, dar în cele din urmă s-a enervat.
„Dacă știi, fă-o!” - și a lăsat cuibul pe jumătate gata.
De atunci, porumbelul sălbatic nu a mai putut să învețe acest meșteșug.
The wild pigeon and the magpie

The wild pigeon asked the magpie to teach him how to build a nest, because the magpie is a great master at this, and he can build such a nest that the shell of the dove cannot touch it. The magpie gladly accepted the teaching, and while building the nest, while he was putting a twig in place, he always said in his own way:

The wild pigeon always replied:
"I know, I know, I know!"
The magpie kept it quiet for a while, but finally got angry.
"If you know, do it!" - and left the nest half done.
Since then, the wild pigeon has not been able to learn any more of this craft.
A vadgalamb és a szarka
Tudod-e miért nem ért a vadgalamb a fészekcsináláshoz, miért rak olyan hitvány fészket, mely csak néhány szál száraz ágból van összetákolva?
Elmondom én.
A vadgalamb a szarkát kérte meg, hogy tanítsa meg őt a fészekrakásra, mert ebben a szarka igen nagy mester, s olyan fészket tud csinálni, hogy ahhoz a héja ölyű hozzá nem ér. A szarka szívesen elvállalta a tanítást, s fészekrakás közben, míg egy-egy gallyat helyére illesztett, mindig mondogatta a maga módján:
– Csak így, csak úgy! Csak így, csak úgy!
A vadgalamb erre mindig azt felelte:
– Túdom, túdom, túdom!
A szarka elhallgatta azt egy darabig, de utoljára megharagudott.
– Ha tudod, csináld! – s otthagyta a fészket fele munkájában.
A vadgalamb aztán azóta sem tudott ebből a mesterségből többet megtanulni.
