Just a nice hike with lots of wildflowers and butterflies in the Summer. You'll come to a fork in the trail. (You are not hiking to the dam.) There is a pull-off on the highway, to park, a short distance from the trail. It's around a mile hike to the cache site. There may be snakes. We've hiked this area several times and not seen any yet.
