
This is a fairly new sculpture celebrating the 50th anniversary of Westhill becoming an established settlement (1968 - 2018).
I have often driven past it on the way in and out of the town, so I decided to stop and investigate. Now you can too.
Go to the posted coordinates and answer the following questions to obtain the coordinates for the cache. It is a 5 minute walk away, along the burnside path.
1. Read the information plaque.
a = how many years of development? Second digit.
b = how many examples of crofts and cottages along Old Skene Road are given? (-5).
c = number of letters in the first material named that the sculpture is made of. (+1)
2. Now look at the map located on the top of the wall.
d = number of letters in the bottom left-most place name.
e = the road number featured. Take two from the first digit.
