This is my second attempt at Honoring Husker Larry, aka Larry Zabel. I met Larry along with JNS Farmer aka,Steve Nelson several years ago. I was visityng from Michigan at the time. I contacted JNsFarmer and introduced myself and told him I was coming to visit family in Nebraska and wanted someone to geocache with. After I arrived, I met JNSFarmer for breakfast in Crete, Nebraska and he brought along Husker Larry. All three of us cached for several days while I was there. Whenever I would go back to Nebraska, us three would get together and cache in the Lincoln area. A couple of years ago, I called to talk to Larry and his wife Donna answered and and told me that Larry had passed away about a month earlier. I was saddened by the news and decided to place a geocache in his Honor. I placed it in the city of Surprise, Arizona and it came up missing a few times and I had to finally disable it. This time, It is located in Holmes Park, in the city of Mesa.
