This is a challenge cache and is at the posted coordinates. You can sign the log at any time, but you must meet the cache requirements listed below in order to log your find online.
Cache is in a Jackson County Park (with permission). Park is open dawn to dusk. Please follow all posted park rules.
This Challenge!!
Some consider "60" to be a big number. For others, it's just a beginning! Regardless, we thought "60" would make a fun challenge.
Here's your challenge. It's pretty straightforward...
- Find 60 caches with at least 60 favorite points
- Those 60 caches must be in 60 different counties (Note: for this challenge we only count U.S. and Canadian counties)
- In addition, you must find 60 different types of caches. Wait. There aren't 60 types. Let's go with 6 types (Wherigo, Letterbox, Traditional, Multi, etc.)
That's it!
You can use this challenge checker from Project-GC to check to see if you qualify!

What is a "Challenge Cache"??
If you're newer to geocaching, you might wonder, "What the heck is a Challenge Cache??".
A "Challenge Cache" is a special type of mystery/unknown cache. In addition to finding the cache and signing the log, there are also some requirements that must be met in order to claim the cache as a find.
Challenge caches have some features that help define them. These include:
- The cache type is always Unknown/Mystery
- The cache is AT the posted coordinates or the posted coordinates are a visible waypoint**
- The cache has the word "Challenge" in the title somewhere**
**Note: these are requirements for all new challenge caches hidden after April 21, 2015. There are some older, challenge caches that may be grandfathered and do not meet these criteria...
How Do I Know if I Met the Requirements of a Challenge?
There are a number of different ways to tell if you have met the requirement for a challenge cache.
- Challenge Checkers on the Cache Page: Many challenge caches (like this one) provide a link to a "Checker" on Project-GC that can be used to verify if you have me the requirements of a particular challenge (Note: for challenge caches published after 4/21/2015, it is a requirement that a challenge checker is provided). If you have not used the Project-GC website before, this is a website that offers several advanced statistic and search capabilities. They are a Groundspeak authorized API partner (API Partners- Web Applications). When you visit the site for the first time, you may be asked to "Authenticate", by clicking the "Authenticate" button in upper right-hand side of the page. This will take just a moment and is simply done to connect your Geocaching account to the Project-GC web pages.
- Search for a Challenge Checker: For older challenge caches, a challenge checker may not be listed on the page. This does not mean one doesn't exist!! You can navigate directly to the Project-GC Challenge Checkers Page and enter the GC code in the "Search" box. If you see a checker come up, you may use it!!
- Other: There are some older challenge caches that may not have a challenge checker. You can read the cache page for instructions on how the CO wishes you to submit your proof. These methods will vary. Sometimes, you can simply include a screenshot of your applicable statistic. You may also be able to include the qualifying caches in your log or on a separate bookmark list.
Why Should I do a Challenge Cache?
Many cachers enjoy challenge caches as a fun way to add variety to their caching! It can often be more interesting to work towards a specific cache goals. Many common challenge caches encourage players to streak, fill their "D/T Grid", find caches in each county in your state, and more!
