GeoLeap 2024
What better way to celebrate a day that only comes around once every four years than with an awesome event! Join us at 4:00 pm at Settlers Pavilion in Round Rock, Texas, for a Leap Day Celebration!
There will be many great activities, including a gadget cache class, snakes and coin design presentations, and a few exciting rounds of geo-bingo! There will also be opportunities to exchange trackables and lots of good old-fashioned caching conversation. In addition, one week before the event, a GeoLeap Coin Challenge will begin. Passports will be available that will include a list of newly published caches. Cachers who complete their passport can bring them to the event and will be eligible to receive one of a limited number of free super-duper cool GeoLeap coins.
- Overall Event Schedule:
- 4:00 – The event begins!
- Packet pickup opens
- Completed coin passports can be turned in (until 6:00)
- 4:20 – Welcome
- 4:20 – Pizza Arrives
- 4:30 to 5:30 – Snake Talk
- 5:00 to 6:30 – Round Quarter Sized Metal Objects With Colorful Pictures Bingo
- 5:45 – Group Picture (Bingo will be paused for this)
- 6:00 to 6:30 – Gadget Cache Talk
- 6:00 – Completed coin passports must be turned in
- 6:15 – Coin winners will be posted and coins awarded (must be picked up by 7:00)
- 6:45 to 7:15 – Coin Design Talk
- 7:15 – Coin Prize Drawings for remaining coins – Must be present to win
- 7:30 – Ticket Pull for any general prizes – Must be present to win
- 7:45 – Wrap up
- 8:00 - The event ends

Our great friend HolyGuacamole is throwing a Prepare to Leap after-party. Come sit around the host hotel's fire pits and share your fireside caching stories. You will not want to miss this event!
GCACQBJ - GeoLeap 2024 MEGA (Thursday 2/29/2024 - 4 to 8 PM)
This is it!!! Join us for the first Leap Day Mega in North America!!!
GCAJAXF - The Last Leap (Thursday 2/29/2024 - 8:30 to 10 PM)
After the main event, we have picked an excellent place for everyone to gather and discuss their Leap Day. Join us for fun, friends, and photo ops!

We finish off our portion of the weekend by giving back to the community. We have a couple of extras planned for this event, and we hope you attend to show your support to Round Rock Parks and Rec for giving us the venue and support to make this event happen.

Are you ready for an EPIC coin quest?!
The GeoLeap Coin Challenge is ON! Buckle up because 30 brand new caches have been published around the GeoLeap 2024 event site. Each cache holds a key for a chance to win a super cool GeoLeap coin that is NOT available for purchase!
Here's your chance to grab glory (and geo-swag!):
- Grab your Coin Challenge Passport: The passport is available here and on the GeoLeap2024 website. Print it online or snag one at the "Prepare to Leap (GCAJNFC) event.
- Find at least 25 of the 30 Geocaches between February 22nd and 29th. A bookmark list of the 30 caches is available here.
- When you find a cache, punch your Passport in the spot corresponding to the correct geocache. Each cache holds a special punch to mark your qualifying find.
- Dash to the GeoLeap Mega Event on February 29th. Hand over your completed Passport between 4:00 – 6:00 pm and enter a drawing to win your very own coin!
Fine print: Cachers who submit a completed passport will be entered into a drawing to win one of the GeoLeap coins. Only one passport per person can be used to enter the drawing. The drawing to award coins will begin shortly after 6:00 pm, and a list of winners will be posted. Winners will need to pick up their coin before 7:00 pm. Unclaimed coins will be awarded to other qualifying cachers during a live drawing beginning at 7:15 pm.
