This cache can only be reached driving west to east towards Plett, it is illegal and most dangerous to turn in coming the other way!
A quick park and grab in a location I have meant to place a cache for a long time.
The little walk through the pocket of indigenous forest here along a wooden boardwalk is lovely and easy. Unfortunately it comes at a price (here) but to find and log your treasure is free. Nonetheless make a detour through our beautiful forest and enjoy amongst many other plants our unique Outeniqua yellowwood, Real yellowwood, Stinkwood, Terblans beech, Assegai, a variety of birds and ferns and nature's beauty!
Not only is this forest truly a garden of Eden as the Knysna Forest in its totality is the country's largest indigenous evergreen forest - covering about 568 square kilometres, you are also finding yourself in the Eden District Municipality! How very fitting!
Find more and very interesting informatiom on the history of the Knysna Forest and its importance in the history of Knysna town here.
