Celebrate the Great Orme Tramway!
The Great Orme Tramway is Britain’s only funicular, or cable-hauled, tramway that travels on public roads. Delighting visitors since it opened in 1902.
The Tramway climbs a mile (1500m) through the Great Orme Country Park and Nature Reserve to the Great Orme’s spectacular summit. Re-live the experience of travel more than 100 years ago in the lovingly restored original tramcars, each named after a Saint.
We will be located in the King’s Head, named after King William IV (1765-1837), is the only pub surviving from the earliest days of Llandudno and is some 300 years old.
The pub is located next to Victoria Station, the town terminus of the Great Orme Tramway.
We are in town for the day so come and join us for some refreshments, geochat and TB swapping.
We are a friendly bunch so just drop by and say hello!
