[EN] The unusual round church "Iglesia de Ermita Santa Cecilia" can be found on the municipal border of Fuencaliente with El Paso and Los Llanos de Aridane. José Miguel de Sotomayor had the church built in honour of his wife Cecilia Narváez Oliván in 1948/49 on a slope between the lava flows of the Volcano Charco (eruption in 1712).
According to the Fuencaliente website, a mass is held in the church every 22 November, followed by a concert with the Fuencaliente town band at sunset in front of the church. Perhaps you will be there on that day? Unfortunately, the church was closed when we visited.
[ES] La iglesia circular "Iglesia de Ermita Santa Cecilia" se encuentra en el límite municipal de Fuencaliente con El Paso y Los Llanos de Aridane. José Miguel de Sotomayor mandó construir la iglesia en honor de su esposa Cecilia Narváez Oliván en 1948/49 en una ladera entre las coladas de lava del Volcán del Charco (erupción en 1712).

[DE] Die ungewöhnliche Rundkirche „Iglesia de Ermita Santa Cecilia“ ist an der Gemeindegrenze von Fuencaliente zu El Paso und Los Llanos de Aridane zu finden. José Miguel de Sotomayor ließ die Kirche zu Ehren seiner Frau Cecilia Narváez Oliván errichten, und zwar in den Jahren 1948/49 an einem Hang zwischen den Lavaströmen des Vulkans Charco (Ausbruch im Jahr 1712).
