*********Special Bonus for the Walla Walla Cache Machine. A Solar Eclipse! There will be an Annular Solar Eclipse the morning of the cache machine. What is an annular eclipse? It occurs when the moon is too close to the earth to fully block the sun during the totality and leaves behind a ring of sun around the shadow of the moon, or otherwise known as a ring of fire. For this eclipse the totality is south in Oregon so there will only be about 80 percent coverage, but still worth observing.
Make sure to bring your ISO rated eclipse viewing glasses so that you can stop and take a look. *************

Walla Walla: the town so nice they named it twice. They've got onions,wine, hot air balloons, and they've got caches. Adam West grew up here and Bugs Bunny called upon the power of the town's name as a protection from vampires. You're not going to the state penitentiary, although its here too -- you're going caching!
The details about the daylong sunrise-to-sunset cache machine (start time 7:00 a.m. on October 14) to follow, but the official event is the after-machine dinner.
Dinner will be at El Sombrero Mexican Restaurant, 411 N. 2nd Ave (the coordinates above). Be there at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 14, 2023.
