This site shows the remnants of an arrasta, a primitive mill to crush ore to separate the precious metal. Ore would be placed on the flat ring of stones and a large stone would be dragged over the ore. The central stone has a hole that was used as a pivot for handles used to turn the large stone.
The cache is not hidden at the arrastra or sign, but is about 30 ft away. Please do not disturb the site.
The coordinates may be off slightly, but the cache can be found with feet on the trail.
Parking at the posted parking coordinates does require a day use fee.
