For those who’ve tried to loop their fizzy grid before, one of the greatest difficulties comes in trying to find caches with rare D/T ratings. As of 9/8/2023, there are only 803 caches rated 5/3.5 in the USA. 5/3.5 is the rarest D/T combination in North America. Geocaches with difficulty 4,4.5, or 5 make up only 1-2% of all caches in the United States. You can see a chart of the statistics here.

The rarest caches typically have a difficulty or terrain rating of 4 or higher. If you haven't found a bunch of high D/T caches already, you may need to become Fizzy Aware to complete this challenge.

Find 500 caches with a difficulty or terrain rating of 4 or higher.

  • The difficulty rating is based upon the challenge and the terrain is based on the location.

This cache was placed with permission. The cache is located in Meramec Landing Park. Park hours are sunrise to sunset.
