On yet another Friday adventure, the hubby and I found this awesome spot. With cascading waterfalls, mossy rocks, wildflowers, streams winding among boulders, and cathedral like rocky cliffs towering above, it has a wonderful Hatcher pass vibe...I knew I had to come back to hide a cache.
I returned a few weeks later accompanied by one half of the famous ET's (aka evil twin A 😈). Twin A approved the location, but I'm pretty sure he would have made the hide much more evil than I did.
Grab your bike and your hiking shoes (or just take a long and leisurely walk) and come on down to one of the prettiest spots in the Chugach!
Follow the Powerline trail 5 miles one way to Grey lake, then the cache is another 1/4 mile. Walk on the trail at the back of the lake then follow the cascading stream up until you find a nice flattish knoll which overlooks the lake. Enjoy beautiful 360 degree views up and down the powerline from the overlook just past the cache. Watch for wildlife and CITO any trash you find.
PS- although an ET 😈 was along for the hide, it is not meant to be an evil hide (I'm the nice ETnT). use the hint and the spoiler picture, spend your time looking at scenery, not looking for the cache!
The cache is placed under Chugach State Park permit 21-KA-4267
