Geocache Description:

International Geocaching Day, and I am trolling Pittsworth for a likely place to hide a cache for our new cachers in town.

I took a pitstop here using the amenities and had lunch - and found an historical place to hide a cache.

HISTORICAL MARKER NO 1

This building was constructed in 1953 and housed the first bore intended to supply water to the town of Pittsworth. The water supply was inadequate and as a result was not used for town reticulation but served as a limited supply in conjunction with an overhead tank for fire fighting and other purposes.

Thought this was rather interesting, so I left a cache here for you to enjoy as well.  I now need to find the rest of the Historical Markers around town with a view to hiding more caches.

Please return cache as found, do not push back too far as it will dissappear into oblivion!

Congratulations to ...Valkyrja... for FTF.

And to BrumbyVL for running a close second.

GCAndo - you were pipped at the post and came in third
