This CITO event will focus on removal of trash and waste from an assigned area of the shoreline and the Rio Reservoir. Participants will be expected to supply their own watercraft and gear to safely navigate around the shore and the landing to gather waste. It will likely become necessary for some of us to get in and out of boats in order to carry out these tasks. Please come prepared for this, and you are also expected to supply your own PFD and whistle. Also it is highly recommended you bring work gloves and/or trash grabbers to protect yourselves from any sharp objects that may be found.
In the event that conditions that day require us to move to a alternate date, it will be announced here on this page and emailed to those who posted a will-attend; in that unlikely event we would postpone one week to Sunday, October 22.
Park at the given parking waypoint. The event will begin at the posted coordinates.
