Geocache Description:

血の池地獄は、赤い熱泥が噴出・堆積するため池一面が赤く染まり、かつてはこの赤い熱泥で布や家の柱などの染色や皮膚病薬が作られました。別府地獄めぐりの1か所です。

At Blood Pond Jigoku, red hot mud erupts and accumulates, turning the pond red. It is one of the places on the Beppu Jigoku Meguri.
