Geocache Description:

This cache has been placed as a tribute, to a great Aussie Icon "Daryl Braithwaite" and his anthem song "The Horses".

Daryl has been entertaining aussie audiences since the early seventies as firstly the lead singer of the hugely popular "Sherbet".  The  band had  a string of hits including Childs Play, Summer Love, Rock me Gently, High Rollin & their biggest hit "Howzat" among many others.

Sherbet eventually disbanded in 1984 leading Daryl down the path of an equally successful solo career with 2 huge albums; "Edge" in 1988 and "Rise" in 1990.  Both albums had a string of hits including One Summer, As Days go By, Higher than Hope amoung others and of course The Horses.

Daryl briefly united with James Reyne in a band called "Company of Strangers" in 1992 where they enjoyed moderate success together.  Since then Daryl has been performing around the country where "The Horses" still inspires he audiences both young and old to sing along.

On this 230 acre property there can be up to 25 horses agisted in various paddocks including the front one to your left where you may be lucky enough to pat one or two of them.

This property is also the site of a very large campground that many travellers have briefly called home or simply stayed as a part of their journey.

This cache is a regular sized container with room for swapables.  You do not need to enter the property to retrieve this cache.  Please dont park in the driveway as it often has people visiting.
