So as some of you know in the local caching community I make my grand disappear from the local caching scene from January to late April busy with robotics. At robotics, we spend the first six weeks building a robot and then competing with the robot at local competitions. Where from there we attempt to qualify for districts where we compete with the top 50 teams in the PNW. From Districts, 22 teams from the PNW go to Huston Texas to compete on the world stage with teams from 6 of the 7 continents.

each year, On the First Saturday of January, the program that runs these competitions puts out a brand new game for teams to compete in. 2023 was my first year participating, and the 2023 game was First Charged Up. The basic objective of Charged Up is that three teams are teamed up to form an alliance, two alliances are competing against each other in events that are 2:15 minutes long. The blue and red alliances. Each alliance needs to move cones and Inflatable cubes onto platforms called Nodes and then in the last 30 seconds of the game balance on a balance board.
