This cache was originally placed for the fifth annual Greater Omaha Grave Hop, an event that takes place in the Omaha area. The caches are located in and around cemeteries. Please be respectful and search for the caches between dawn and dusk.
In this cemetery it seems as if the angels, Mother Mary, cherubs and Archangel Michael watch over a great many of the monuments.
Angels ( male or female ) or saintly looking women depicted on monuments have many different meanings. We will use some of these different angels to get to the final angel, Archangel Michael. This cache might be able to be done partly from your car and or partly walking. When you find the Archangel Michael you will answer a few questions to lead you to the final cache container outside the cemetery.

START an angel writing on a stone symbolizes the record of good deads of the deceased in the Book of life.
Toward the road, beside each other, you will see three separate monuments with three different figures watching over their monuments. One is sitting on the monument, the second is two chereb angels facing upward as a symbol that they are leading the young person to Heaven, and the third is an angel holding onto a cross, holding a wreath and looking upward.
Look toward the road of the cemetery for an angel standing in front of a cross holding flowers, she is looking downward, her lower right arm is missing. This statue has a good amount of moss cover on it. The flowers symbolizes purity and innocence while the angel watches over the deceased.
Facing this statue continue to the right along the road.
A large angel standing in front of a cross with IHS and NOBILE inscribed, her hand is on her heart, wings in full spread will be the next stop. The full wings represent the flight of the deceased to Heaven.
Continue in the same direction along this road. Looking for a women drapped over a cross, she is decorating the cross with a garland of flowers and next to this monument is an angel looking downward holding bouquet of flowers in front of a cross.

Facing these statues test your eyesight.
Looking forward and downward into the cemetery past a line of trees ( look for the two trees that form a V ), about a dozen rows ahead, you will see a woman reading a small book while standing in front of a cross adorned with flowers. The book could represent the Book of Life or the Bible. Typically books are found on monuments of scholars, writers, or faithful individuals.

Facing the woman with the book, to the right, a saintly looking lady drapped in cloth holding a large bouquet of flowers looking straight ahead is next. The flowers represent purity and innocence of the deceased and the lady leading the way.
Continuing, a lady holding onto a cross looking downward is watchful of the deceased. She is holding a wreath of flowers in her left hand. The name SACCA is at the bottom of the monument. This moves you closer to the road.
Now cross the a road. Continue going forward.
With her back toward the road you were on earlier, you will see the same woman statue you just left.

Something different now, an angel carved into the monument. On its knees hanging onto a cross with full wings. The symbol of kneeling is to find a connection with Heaven and the submission to Heaven.

Pass the poor cherub statue that has lost its head.
Next you will see a statue of a woman holding a baby. After years of carrying this child she is now missing her right hand. The women seems to protect and carry the child. She is giving the child to Heaven.
Look across the road to something different. A lady is drapped over, lying on the headstone, in a sad and grief-like pose. This sad like pose sometimes means an untimely death or just profound grief for the deceased.
The last of the angels in our walk/drive is again the woman with the cross that we saw at least twice earlier and an angel with full wings looking skyward with her hands clasp at her chin. This is a great symbol of love and the skyward looking is to represent that the deceased is no longer of earthly form and is in Heaven.
Next to these angels you will see the leader of all the angels the Archangel Michael. Here he is slaying evil/dragon.
