Ponte é uma construção que permite interligar ao mesmo nível pontos não acessíveis, separados por obstáculos naturais ou antrópicos.
Neste caso, esta ponte é usada para transpor um curso de água. Está incorporada na ER120. É uma pequena ponte, que pode até passar despercebida aos utilizadores. Na Ilha do Porto Santo, as pontes são escassas, e raramente são maiores que esta.

É uma simples cache, mesmo à entrada da cidade da Vila Baleira. Uma boa sugestão para quem está a chegar à ilha a pé. Traga consigo material de escrita.
