REALLY SideTracked - Hartfield
Between 1 October 1866 and 2 January 1967, Hartfield train station operated as part of the Three Bridges to Tunbridge Wells Central Line - one of many victims of the Beeching cuts of that era. The route of the train line is now the Forest Way cycle/walking path. We'll be meeting just opposite the former station to discuss all regular things geocaching-related.
Of course, the thing that Hartfield is probably best known for is being the residence of A.A. Milne, the creator of Winnie the Pooh. He was inspired by a visit to London Zoo and based many of the activities taking place in his books on adventures in the nearby woods, including the famous Pooh sticks bridge.
