Robin Williams slipped into Peter Pan's iconic green tights in Disney's 1991 "Hook." In the movie, Williams plays an overweight, adult Peter Pan who must be reminded of his youthful ways by the Lost Boys, who yell out "bangarang" in one of the film's funniest scenes when Peter Pan takes on the Lost Boys' replacement leader, Rufio. The Lost Boys signal their approval of Peter Pan shouting insults back at Rufio with cries of "bangarang!"
So what does "bangarang" mean? When used in this scene it means, “riot, disturbance, mischief.” It can also mean, “commotion or loud uproar.”
Here is my favourite scene from the movie Hook, the exchange of insults between Peter Pan and Rufio in the imaginary dinner and food fight scene.
Rufio: Eat your heart out you prinkled, wrinkled fat sag!
Peter: You’re a very ill-mannered young man, you know that?
Rufio: You’re a slug eating worm!
Tinkerbell: Come on you can do better than that.
Peter: I can't believe you’re encouraging this.
Rufio: Yes, yes, yes show me your fastball dust brain, you punchy sag bottomed Puke Pot!
Peter: You are a very poor role model for these kids, do you know that?
Peter: I bet you don't even have a 4th Grade reading level.
Rufio: An immortal suck navel!
Peter: Oh maybe a 5th Grade reading level.
Rufio: Oil dripping beef fart-sniffing bubble butt!
Peter: Someone has a severe ca-ca mouth, do you know that?
Rufio: You are a Fart Factory!, Slug slimed sack of Rat guts in Cat vomit, Cheesy scab picked pimple squeezing finger bandage, A week-old Maggot Burger with everything on it and Flies on the side!
Lost Boys: EWWWW!!!
Peter: Substitute chemistry teacher!
Lost Boy: C'mon Rufio, hit him back!
Rufio: Mung tongue!
Peter: Math tutor.
Rufio: Pinhead!
Peter: Prison Barber.
Rufio: Muddle lover!
Peter: Nearsighted gynecologist.
Rufio: In your face, camel cake!
Peter: In your rear, cow derriere!
Rufio: Lying, crying, spying, prying ultra-pig!
Peter: You lewd, crude, rude, bag of pre-chewed food, dude!
Rufio: You-- You man! You Stupid, stupid man!
Peter: Hey, Rufio, if I'm a maggot burger, why don't you just EAT ME!? You two-toned, zebra headed, slime-coated, pimple-farming, paramecium brain, munching-on-your-own-mucus, suffering from PETER PAN ENVY!!!

Peter: I'll tell you what a paramecium is! [points at Rufio] THAT'S a paramecium! It's a one-celled critter WITH NO BRAIN THAT CAN'T FLY! Don't mess with me, man! I'M A LAWYER!!!
