Where as I try to keep up on my annual tradition of hiding a geocache on my geocaching anniversary. 18 years ago today I got my feet wet into this wonderful hobby known as geocaching. I've seen tons of cool places and met tons of wonderful people on the way so here's my way of saying thank you. Hopefully you will enjoy a nice stroll in the park. Now to find the geocache.
At the posted coordinates start following the paved path just to the south and you will soon pass a drinking fountain to your left. Soon after that you will come to a sign and the paved path will then veer to the left. Keep following the paved path and then you will soon spy a nice overlook. Just before the overlook you will see a dirt path that goes off to the left. Start following that path. Follow the path as it leads away from The overlook. The path will then head on an easterly direction and then head towards the south. Off to your east side you should spy another small little bench. Keep following the hard dirt path as it proceeds in a southerly direction. Soon the path will head downhill and you will pass another bench that is the left side of the trail. At this point proceed about 25 paces and you should see a small wooden step on the trail. At this point walk straight in heading west and you should find what you seek at the base of a tree about 6 to 8 inches in diameter with a small fallen tree next to it. Please don't take the stamp as it's part of the letterbox. Park hours are 6 am til 11 pm.
