Welcome to Hell-Hotel (LP)
Since the 1960s there has been a resort with five hotels, a campsite and many villas on the sandy beach. The hotel was built with luxurious rooms dedicated to the officers of the Yugoslav People's Army and their families. During the Balkan wars in the 1990s, the Kupari hotel complex was badly damaged. Over time, nature crept back to these once outstanding structures. Weeds and trees now grow in the great halls where glittering balls once took place. But if you're quiet, close your eyes and let your imagination run wild, you can hear the music and the hustle and bustle and get goosebumps.
Seit 1960er Jahren befindet sich am Sandstrand ein Resort mit fünf Hotels, einem Campingplatz und vielen Villen. Das Hotel wurde mit luxuriösen Zimmern gebaut, die den Offizieren der jugoslawischen Volksarmee und ihrer Familien gewidmet waren. Während der Balkankriege in den 1990er Jahren wurde der Hotelkomplex Kupari schwer beschädigt. Im Laufe der Zeit kroch die Natur zu diesen einst herausragenden Bauwerken zurück. In den großen Hallen in denen einst glitzernde Bälle stattfanden, wachsen nun Unkraut und Bäume. Aber wenn man leise ist, die Augen schliest und der Fantasie freien Lauf gewährt, kann man die Musik und das turbulente Treiben hören und bekommt Gänsehaut.
