Geocache Description:

Welcome to The Goose Pond Mountain Cache.

This is my second in a series of local Mountain Biking caches.

I designed these caches to be done on mountain bikes but the trails are fine for hiking. This main trail in is actually an old road, Lazy Hill Road to be specific. This trail now caries a teal marker.

This is a great area and you should plan to spend some time exploring, bring the whole family and enjoy the afternoon. The main trails are just one step away from riding on the road. Many of the side trails are non-technical single track and lots of fun for the beginner. From what I can tell this is a muddy area so plan to get dirty. The park is also a no hunting zone so you will be safe all year.

I found an old concrete building that looks like a hang out for telling stories around a campfire. It’s worth a look at N041 19.534, W074 15.032 if you have the time.

The best parking is at N041 20.740, W074 13.556. This is a good safe parking area with plenty of room. Your GPS will show 1.2 mi. An alternate parking spot is at N041 19.136, W074 15.475, that’s at 1.3 mi. with only enough room for about 3 cars. Both parking spots are great for either biking or hiking.

The cache is in a 30 cal ammo can and is well stocked. It is also in plain site.

This cache could be done in snow but I would hate to have snow tracks leading to the hiding place so please use your judgment. GPS reception is horrible at the cache site but is great 20 feet away so search accordingly.
