Keeping the preserve open and accessible is a challenge for a volunteer organization. We need help to keep the preserve’s trails open and the buildings protected from fire hazards. We’re striving to reduce the fire hazard around the Preserve’s cabin by removing the material that could sustain a wildfire.
Join us Saturday, Oct. 7, from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. We will drag downed brush to the driveway and parking lot and use trailers to haul to the Village compost site, making as many trips as time allows.
We’ll have work gloves, lots of water and a yummy barbecue lunch in exchange for a few hours of fellowship and light duty exertion. So please come out and give us a hand.
