If you like to walk the beach, this will be a peaceful nature walk.
There is a charge of $5.00 to park at this National Wildlife Refuge. It is open from sunup to sundown. The parking lot coordinates are N 27. 05.342, W 080. 07.620 This cache has a difficulty rating of three because the walk to the cache is a 2 mile walk on a sandy beach. Bring along plenty of water to drink as well as suntan lotion and a snack. (Remember, it is 2 miles back to the parking lot.) On the walk you will encounter various seabirds. If you are a diver, some of the best lobstering in this area is found off of this beach. You will also find a variety of seashells and driftwood. Spanish gold coins have been found on this beach. Be forwarned, the beach was once a clothing optional beach. Most likely, you will not encounter many people. The cache is hidden on a walkover to the intracoastal waterway. You must stay off of the sand dunes. They are protected.
